Department Council
The Department Council is the governing body of the Heat Engines Department.
Decisions on matters within its competence shall be binding on the organizational bodies. The Department Council responsibilities include:
- Approve the strategic plan within the framework of strategic planning at the University.
- Approve staff proposal required to perform its functions.
- Approve the annual operating budget.
- Approve reform of this regulation.
- Approve the creation, amendment or deletion of sections and teaching units.
- Agreements on the proposed federation with other departments.
- Elect and dismiss the Department Director.
- Elect the members who represent the Department in Department and University bodies.
- Approve or sanction the annual report submitted by the Director of the Department.
- All other attributes that current legislation, the Statutes, these regulations and attributed to it by the University.
Department Board
The Department Board is the Collegiate Body in the Department Council.
Its responsibilities include:
- Develop a strategic plan within the framework of strategic planning at the University.
- Prepare the staff proposals required to to perform their functions.
- Prepare the annual operating budget.
- Distribute different tasks among their members according to the law, statutes, Department rules and other University regulations
- Propose reform of this regulation.
- Define the teaching and other duties of the academic staff (PDI) of the Department.
- Propose the membership of the committees for the selection of academic staff (PDI).
- Report changes in the PDI assignment.
- Create the committees it deems necessary for a better functioning of the Department and establish their functions.
